This 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Custom Street Beast was just completed in December 2008. This car features the best of both worlds, classic Chevy styling with extraordinary custom accessories. Starting with the custom red and white paint topped off with outstanding flames that let you know this is a serious street car. If the paint alone doesn't get everyone"s attention, then the sound of the 900 horsepower, blown small block Chevy definitely will!
 
The motor was built by legendary engine builder and former world championship winning driver Jim Oddy. This motor has nothing but the best components money can by such as Bullet Cams, Callies Crank, Dart Block, Jesel Belt & Valve train, MSD Distributor and Ignition Box, Oliver Rods and Venolia Pistons. This motor is topped off with a BDS 871 Blower and two 850 Holley Blower Carbs. The amazing thing about this car is that it produces 900 horsepower, but runs on 93 octane pump gas! The engine compartment is finished out with a billet serpentine belt & pulley system and a true custom aluminum radiator built specifically for this car that is temp switch activated. The power is transferred through a TCI converter and Trans-go stage 3 full manual kit 4L80 transmission that is connected to a 9" Ford rear end. Traction is provided by a ladder bar rear suspension and handling is awesome due to coil over shocks and Hiedts front A-arm suspension with billet rack and pinon that that features power steering. All this power and handling is put to the ground with American Racing Torque Thrust rims and BF Goodrich Radials. The fuel delivery starts with a custom aluminum fuel tank that feeds the billet mechanical fuel pump and billet fuel pressure regulator.
 
The interior is based on the classic original 55 Chevy styling with Daytona red carpet. The original dash is intact, with a modern instrument panel. Custom Billet steering wheel is wrapped with red leather and the shifter is a B&M Quicksilver ratchet style.
 
This car is an absolute blast to drive! Power is instant at the hit of the throttle! The overdrive transmission and awesome cooling system make it very streetable with none of the headaches your typical high horsepower street car has. You will be the center of attention at the drive-in with this awesome ride!
